35 to 500 Ton Capacity: We maintain a wide range of tonnage capability to meet our customers needs. We find that this range in tonnage covers just about every application our customers may have. We also maintain adequate capacity in each tonnage group in order to maintain sufficient capacity and flexibility. If our capacity forecasting indicates that we will be overbooked in a particular tonnage group, then we add capacity in that group.

Elastomer Overmolding:
W M Plastics has over 15 years experience running all of the various types of Thermoplastic Elastomers. We also have 5+ years experience with overmolding these materials. We are well versed in both the mechanical interlocking techniques as well as the new chemical bonding techniques and materials.

Short to Long Production Runs: We realize that our customers have a variety of production needs, for this reason we have worked hard to maintain production efficiencies and techniques in both short and long production runs.

Custom Material/Color Blending & Matching: When you can't find that perfect material for your project or find a standard supplied color, we can help. Whether we formulate our own material mix to satisfy your needs or mix a custom color, you can be assured we will supply you a custom solution.

In-Mold Decorating: There are a variety of in-mold decorating techniques that can be used to achieve a very unique looking part. If your project requires a look that cannot be accomplished with molding alone, let us show you what types of options are available.

Engineering Grade Resins: An important aspect of choosing a supplier is knowing that the supplier has experience with the specified material. We aggressively seek out opportunities to work with the latest breakthroughs in material technology. Our strong relationship with a number of material suppliers ensures that we are aware of impending market launches. We will routinely try out new materials on our own to learn about the processing characteristics and mechanical properties of a new material. We are also one of a few suppliers in the United States certified to run a propriety copper impregnated conductive material.

Hot Oil Processing for High Temperature Materials: High temperature materials requires unique processing requirements. First the tool must be constructed and designed to run at higher mold temperatures (approximately 300°-350°.) The mold also requires insulator plates and a hot oil processor for maintaining the tool temperature.

Air & Hydraulic Core Sequences: Our equipment includes air and hydraulic valves tied into the machine control circuits. This allows us to program the proper sequences to avoid costly tool repair and ensure that the tools functions in the manner for which it was designed. We are well versed with some of the most sophisticated tooling utilizing moveable core sequences.

Multiple Component Molding and Insert Molding: Whether your project requires an Elastomer Overmold or a metal/plastic insert, W M Plastics has a long history of working with these unique processes.

Hot Runner Tools: Hot runner tooling requires experience. Without an in-depth knowledge of this type of tooling, you can quickly create a lasting quality problem. Our "Design Review Process" addresses this area of specialty tooling with a great deal of detail.

In-House Tool Room: We have three people on staff to ensure tooling is adequately maintained through a system of preventative maintenance and tooling work orders. In addition to maintaining tooling, we also do repairs, insert changes, minor modifications, jigs and fixtures. Since all work performed is documented we are able to provide our customers with historical reports on their tooling.

Research & Development: As we mentioned before, W M Plastics aggressively seeks out opportunities to process new or experimental materials. In this way we are able to provide our customers information on the newest advances in polymer technology.
